Jake's story

Having, trained under an ex-band master for the Royal Corps of Army Music. Jake has been playing brass in ensembles and in solo regimental settings from a young age, notably performing the last post for multiple Germany-stationed UK Regiments from the age of 12.

Jake has trained and played as part of the prestigious Royal Marines School of Music during his training for the world-famous Royal Marines Band Service. In this role, he has performed music at ceremonies such as The Beating of the Retreat at venues including the Portsmouth Guildhall and Gunwarf Quays.

Now based in Yorkshire, Jake performs regularly on a competition level with Stacksteads Brass Band, recently performing at the North West Regional Brass Band Championships at Winter Gardens Blackpool. Other bands he is currently performing with include Two Rivers Concert Band in Ilkley, and Earby Brass Band.
